As we roll into summer, we hope everyone gets to enjoy a nice boat ride or day of fishing on our beautiful lake. We here at the TFD would like to share a few safety tips so that your day on the lake is wonderful and safe.
Of course, the first thing is to keep your life jacket on at all times and make sure everyone in the boat has a lifejacket.Texomahasplenty of stumps and shallow sand barsthatcansneakuponyou in an instant.
Make sure there is an operational fire extinguisher or two on your boat in case it is needed. Be weather aware and if you do get caught in a storm, move immediately to a shore line and ride the storm out there.
Please stay sober if you are the one driving the boat. Stay 100 feet from other vessels and shore lines.
Following these simple rules will keep you and your passengers safe and ready to enjoy another day of the fun.
The exercise/stretching classes are every Monday andWednesdayat10:00a.m. Card games are held on the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of the month at 12:00 p.m.
