Yay, the Texoma area is finally getting some rain. That being said, residents still need to practice safety when burning.
Just a note, make sure to clean up any debris around the outside of the house in case of emergency. The firefighters andparamedicsneed clear paths for responses.
A reminder to everyone that has a storm shelter, please register them with MarshallCountyEmergency Services at 580-263-9117. This will help locate residents in a time of emergency.
Many times in these storms, trees or debris is strown everywhere blocking the exit.
The exercise/stretching classes are every Monday andWednesdayat10:00a.m. Card games are held on the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of the month at 12:00 p.m.
For anyone needing to rent the Texoma Community Center building for a party or family gathering place contact Judy Jeffreys at 405-684-1636. Calls are monitored twice a week so please allow plenty of time for your event.
The cost is $75 per day and can only be rented by members of the Fire District. The building capacity is 158.
