Rios claims Chickasha powerlifting crown

Junior Hannah Rios captured individual title honors to lead several Madill placers in the Chickasha Powerlifting Meet last week.

Rios took the top spot in the girls’ 181-pound division with a three-lift total of 845 pounds, which included 345 in squat, 175 on bench and 325 in deadlift.

Also in the girls’ division, a pair of Lady Wildcats placed in the heavyweight category with Angie Mendiola claiming third with a 740 pound total and Jenna Mendiola adding a seventh with 630. Angie’s three lifts included a 275 in squat, 135 on bench and 330 in deadlift. Jenna notched a 250 in squat, 105 on bench and 275 in deadlift.

For the Madill boys, Cannon Adams led the way with a sixth place showing of 655 pounds in the 132 division by posting a 180 in squat, 145 on bench and 330 in deadlift.

Two Wildcats contributed in the 145-pound category as Braden Gray notched a seventh with a three-lift combination of 940 pounds (300 squat, 235 bench, 405 deadlift)whileAroddyCamacho was eighth at 920 pounds (345 squat, 210 bench, 365 deadlift).

Bryce Culp tallied 875 total pounds (325 squat, 185 bench, 365 deadlift) in wrapping up10thinthe157-pound class.
