KMS Academic team qualifies for OAAC

On December 6, 2025 the Kingston Middle School Academic team traveled to Moore, OK to compete in the MooreInvitationalScholastic Challenge. There were 237 6th-8th grade students who took 787 grade level tests.

Kingston Middle School represented the Redskins proudly with all seven of the team who attended qualifying for the Oklahoma Association for Academic Competition(OAAC)Tournament of Champions. The four sixth graders took home the Top School 6th Grade award.

Sixth grader Raylee Meidinger qualified in three events and placed 3rd in Language Arts.RomanHawkins, also a 6th grader, qualified in three events and placed 2nd in Science and 3rd in Humanities. Wyatt Hampton, a sixth grader qualified in six events and placed 2nd in Humanities. Sixth grader Camden Gorman qualified in 5 events, garnering 1st in Humanities and 2nd in Science. Seventh grader Charlotte Armstrong qualified in Math and Humanities, while eighth graders Ethan Austin qualified in Language Arts and Ryder Hoffpauir qualified in Current Events.

Academic Team Coach Stephanie Dohrer says she is elated with her group’s accomplishments and is proud of how they challenged themselves. In April the group will compete in the OAAC Tournament of Champions.
