Ruthanna Wiese

This week, Madill High School is proud to shine the spotlightonRuthannaWiese, a dedicated senior whose passion for music and academics hasmadeasignificantimpact on our school community.

Wiese, the daughter of Stephen and Starla Wiese, has spent the last 14 years as aproudmemberoftheMadill school system. Throughout her time at MHS, she demonstrated exceptional commitment to both her studies and extracurricular activities, becoming a well-respected leader among her peers.

As the drum major for the MHS marching band, Wiese leads her fellow musicians with enthusiasm and dedication. During concert season, she showcases her talent as a flute player, contributing to the band’s rich musical performances. Additionally, Wiese is a key member of the academic team, where she excels in competitions that challenge her intellect and teamwork skills. Her versatility extendsto the Jazz band, where she plays the keyboard, adding her unique flair to the group’s sound.

Assheapproachesgraduation, shehasclearaspirations for her future. She said she plans to attend Oklahoma State University Institute of Technology to pursue a degree in culinary arts.

She said her love for cooking and creativity in the kitchen drives her to explore this exciting field. Wiese said she is eager to turn her passion into a profession, and she hopes to inspire others with her culinary creations.

She is not only a talented student but also a devoted family member, growing up with three sisters - Reighna, Lydia and Tarah. With a supportive family by her side, she has cultivated a strong sense of community and collaboration, values that shine through in her leadership roles.

Reflecting on her time at Madill High School, Wiese said MHS has made her who she is.

“Myexperiencesherehave shaped who I am today,” she shared. “I encourage my fellow students to pursue their passions and embrace every opportunity that comes their way.”
