Six seniors will be honored in pre-game ceremonies Friday whentheMadillWildcats close out the 2025 football season at home against Bethany.
Ramiro Rangel, Landon Clutter,BraydenGray,Braxton Gimenez, Yulian Diaz and Aaron Diaz have all been steady presences during a difficult campaign and the Wildcat faithful will have the opportunity to show their appreciation.
“We started the year with five seniors and added another in the first week,” head coach Wade Couch commented. “Those six guys have never wavered one bit despitemorethantheirshare of adversity. They stuck it out and there was never a doubt in my mind they would be with us all the way and never quit. I am super proud of their efforts and we are looking forward to highlighting them all week long.”
Madill is coming off a rough 60-0 setback at perennial powerhouse Blanchard in which things started off bad and just snowballed from there on the scoreboard.
Couch pointed to a couple of seniors that were solid and stood out in the battle all night against the rugged Lions.
“It was pretty tough all the way around,” he admitted. “We were pleased with the way Rangel played at center. Hefoughthardanddidasolid job. Clutter was a warrior for us hanging in there all night as he continued to battle through injury. It was just difficult to get much production at all offensively.”
The Madill head coach knows it will be another daunting task against the Bronchos, whoareintheheat of the race for a playoff spot going into Week 10.
They are extremely similar to Blanchard, edging the Lions by a 27-26 five weeks ago, despite their 4-5 overall record.
“They have played a really tough schedule and are kind of a carbon copy of Blanchard,” Couch added. “Their quarterback is really accurate, they have a rangy receiver and a good-looking tight end. They run a lot of the same type of things Blanchard does but with more tight end packages.
“We are hoping to be able to hit more in the passing game and have the ability to throw the ball more than last week.Hopefullythatcanlead to some positivity out there Friday night.”
