JAMM Celebrates Mobility Week

JAMM Transit is proud to join public transportation providers across Oklahoma in celebrating Mobility Week 2025, taking place November 2–8, 2025. This statewide initiative highlights the importance of safe, reliable and accessible transportation options that connect people to jobs, health care, education and community services.

As part of Mobility Week, JAMM Transit will provide free town route trips throughout the week. Through these activities, the agency aims to engage community members, showcase transportation resources and highlight the role of public transit in improving quality of life.

INCA Community Services Executive Director Erica Pogue said the free rides can mean quite a bit to community members.

“Public transit is the bridge between isolation and opportunity,' Pogue said. 'In rural Oklahoma, a single ride can mean a job, a doctor’s visit, or a child’s education. It’s not just transportation — it’s transformation.”

Why Mobility Week Matters • Access to Opportunity: Public transit connects Oklahomans to jobs, schools, health care, and essential services.

• Safety and Reliability: Transit agencies across Oklahoma are committed to providing safe and dependable services every day.

• Community Building: Mobility Week encourages community engagement, rider appreciation, and fun activities that strengthen local connections.

• Sustainability: Transit supports cleaner air, reduced traffic congestion, and healthier communities.

How to Participate Residents are encouraged to join the celebration by riding the bus, posting on social media and telling their friends and family.
