A pair of 10-0 losses to league champ Lone Grove closed out District 4A-4 softball action for the Madill Lady Wildcats last week.
After one early game this week the Lady Wildcats are expected to open the Class 4A playoffs on the road Cache on Thursday with a likely first round matchup against Purcell.
The Lady Wildcats could not get any offense going in either contests against the powerful Lady Horns as Madill did not get a base runner in the first outing and managed only a pair of walks in the second game to Brooklyn Pruitt and Tillie Chapa.
Coach Shawn Runyan’s young team did see improvement defensively, committing just two errors in the initial matchup and three in the second.
