Kingston’s boys placed third in the small school division while the girls took 10th in the McAlester Buffalo powerlifting meet last week.
The Redskins rolled up 87 points while only finishing behindTishomingoandLatta in the team standings. They edged Ketchum and Antlers for third by a single point.
A trio of third place individuals were the catalyst for the Kingston scoring in the ultra-competitivemeet,opening with Hayden Gravitt who ledaplethoraofRedskinplacers at 123 pounds. Gravitt tallied 680 total pounds for third place honors with 245 comingonsquat,170inbench and 265 on the deadlift.
Kingston checked in with a 5th from Dray Watkins in the same division, totaling 630 pounds (240 squat, 105 bench, 285 in deadlift) with Luis Sanchez claiming eighth in a combined lift of 455 pounds (155 squat, 95 bench, 205 deadlift).
Blake Wise rolled to a third-place combination of 900 pounds in the 157-pound division, powering through 335 in squat, 185 on bench and 380 in deadlift. The Redskins also had a third at 275 pounds with Kooper Walker posting a terrific total of 1265 pounds (485 squat, 305 bench, 475 deadlift).
Also for the Redskins at 181 pounds, Gavin Armontrout captured fifth place in posting 905 pounds (315 squat, 220 bench, 370 deadlift) while teammate Riley Davis contributed a ninth place showing of 825 pounds (255 squat, 235 bench, 335 deadlift) in the same category.
Sixth place in the 132-pound division went to Cooper England, who checked in with a three-lift total of 645 pounds (245 squat, 135 bench, 265 deadlift). Niko Flores was seventh at 220 pounds as he tallied 1015 total pounds (405 squat, 225 bench, 385 deadlift).
Jesse Thomas and Jaime Lewis finished off the placers for the Redskins, each taking ninth at 145 and 168 pounds respectfully. Thomas racked up 740 pounds (245 squat, 180 bench, 315 deadlift) with Lewis adding 855 (325 squat, 215 bench, 315 deadlift).
The Lady Redskins had a scoring tally of 33 points with placers in four divisions.
Addi Cole was the catalyst of the group, taking fifth at 121 pounds as she notched a combination of 450 pounds (155 squat, 100 bench, 195 deadlift).
Rae-Ann Best finished sixth at 150 pounds with a three-lift mark of 515 (210 squat, 95 bench, 210 deadlift) and Hannah Uhlenhake checked in eighth at 136 pounds with total of 505 in the three lifts (180 squat, 100 bench, 225 deadlift). Daisy Avery also claimed ninth in the 108-pound division, posting amarkof400pounds(135 squat, 90 bench, 175 deadlift).
