Meet the School Official: Jason Ward

Jason Ward is the Madill High School Principal. He has been the Principal at Madill High School for seven years and said that he loves it. Ward graduated from Plainview in 2000 after moving to the Ardmore area in 1997 with his family.

His father is an entrepreneur with his own business and his mother was an insurance professional. Ward has two siblings, a sister who is an Audiologist, and a brother who shares a passion for education and is currently a coach at Rock Creek.

WardgraduatedfromEast Central University in 2004 with a Bachelors in Science and Chemistry. He also obtained a Masters in Education Leadership. He later attendedSouthernNazarene where he obtained a Masters inEducationalManagement.

Ward spent over a decade at Dixon Schools. There, he began teaching subjects like Science, Math, History, Driver’s Education and more. He also spent his time coaching football, basketball, softball and baseball.

From there, he moved up to assistant principal at the middle school for a year until taking over as the principal of the middle school, a position he held then for many years until moving to Madill High School.

He said his love for sports helped to introduce him to his wife Becca. They met at a basketball game and found a win of their own. They have been married for 15 years and are raising four children together. One boy and three girls. Sean is 22, Kylie is 20, Oaklie is 14, and Emmie is two years old.

“I want to make a positive impact on kids’ lives. Ward said. “I love watching them grow up and figure life out. I like to see how they build their lives and what all they can accomplish over time.”
