Bettye Sue Albers

Bettye Sue Albers, 91, of Madill, Okla. passed away on Monday, September 16, 2024, in Flower Mound, Texas. She was born on December 5, 1932, in Hobbs, NM to the late Thurman Esker Massey and Leila May Ivey Massey. Bettye was raised in Hobbs where she graduated from Hobbs High School.
 

She married Don Cook and they moved to Stevenville, Texas and later to Madill in 1953 establishing the Flying C Ranch just west of Madill. The family operated a number of businesses besides the cattle ranch including a chicken operation producing eggs, livestock sale barn and eventually Bettye started her career as an insurance agent with Farm Bureau where her outgoing personality led her to years of success.
 

An early and active member of the Marshall County Round Up club encouraging her kids to participate. A long-time member of the Marshall County Rural Water Corporation Board of Directors where the Cook family were some of the founding members. Bettye married Dean Albers in 1990, and he preceded her in death in 2016. She was a member of the Kingston First Baptist Church. Bettye’s greatest love was her family and spending time with her grandchildren. Bettye was preceded in death by her parents; husbands Albers was her family and spending time with her grandchildren. Bettye was preceded in death by her parents; husbands and two sons, Joe Don Cook and Will Cook.
 

Bettye is survived by her children, Charles Cook and wife Molly of Denton, Texas, Sue Rushing and husband Randy of Madill, Okla.; daughter-in-law, Karen Cook of Madill, Okla.; grandchildren, Heather Doss, Jody Cook, Judson Cook, Mandy Kern, Misty Cook, Melody Bazih, Tabatha Scasta, Matt Rushing, Todd Cook and Casey Cook; great grandchildren, Chaz Cook, Kelsi Doss, Kendyl Doss, Abagail Wood, Rayce Grigg, Samuel Cook, Katalina Calva, Joey Calva, Kolton Kern, Kadyn Kern, Izabele Bazih, Layla Bazih, Cane Cook, Denim Cook, Reign Scasta, Cutter Scasta, Grady Cook, Jameson Cook and Kove Cook.
 

Memorials may be made to the Madill Round Up Club or the Kingston First Baptist Church. Visitation will be Thursday, September 19, 2024, at Watts Funeral Home in Madill, Okla. from 8:00 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. Funeral servic  will be Thursday, September 19, 2024,
at 10:00 a.m. at Watts Memorial Chapel in Madill, Okla. Joe Patterson will officiate the service. Interment will be at the Oakland Cemetery in Oakland, Okla. Services will be under the direction of Watts Funeral Home in Madill, Okla. Condolences may be sent to wattsfuneralhome.com.
 

Casket Bearers will be Jud Cook, Matt Rushing, Todd Cook, Casey Cook, Kenny Kern, Hanny Bazih and Jeremy Doss.
