Jireh Bakery is the newest addition to the city square in Madill and it is making a delicious impression. Owned and operated by Lucy and Jose Segura, along with their children, this family bakery brings traditional Mexican desserts, breads, pastries, coffee, sandwiches and much more to the community.

The Segura family makes everything from scratch, wanting to keep the tradition and feeling of home in every bite. Their best sellers are colorful Conchas, a soft slightly sweet bread with a little crunch on the outside that would please any palette.

The Segura family currently live in Texas between Gainesville and Whitesboro. Theyhavebeentravelingand selling their baked goods for years. They visited many different towns and cities in Texas and Southern Oklahoma. The Seguras said choosing Madill for the location of their bakery was easy.
“Getting to know the people of Madill over the years made it an easy choice for us,” Lucy Segura said. “When lines would form to purchase our baked goods in other towns the first few people would buy everything out not saving any for the rest of the people waiting in line. Madill was different, we felt something special here.”
“The people in Madill would leave enough for everyone in line,” Jose Segura added. “Showing how caring they were and willing to share. With the five children they are raising, being in a community with those type of customers showing strong character and consideration for one another was the most important.”
Jose said that even the customers were looking out for them.
“One of our customers notified us of the space for lease and our dream came together really fast, and we had friends that helped us get the space ready.”
