TheMarshallCountyHealth Department will be hosting a Car Seat Checkup Event. This event will show parents and guardians how to properly install a car seat or booster seat.
They will also inspect the car seat to let parents know if they need to replace it. Also, a limited number of car seats will be available to early guests. They are first come, first serve.
The child or expectant mother must be present. The expectant mother must be within six weeks of their due date.
Parents must show proof of government assistance like WIC, Food Stamps or Sooner-Care. Be sure to arrive in the vehicle that the car seat will be used in.
Participants must be the parent or legal guardian of the child. There will also be car seats available at a discounted rate ($15) for qualified families. There is a limited amount of those, as well.
The event will be September 7 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Marshall County Health Dept.
