PastorBobbyLeroyDavis,78,passedawayonThursday, August 8, 2024, at his home in Madill, Okla. He was born on July 13, 1946, in Shreveport, La. to the late Leroy Davis and Lucy Hill Davis. Bobby lived his entire life in Madill where he graduated from Madill High School in 1965. After graduation, he joined the National Guard and served for 25 years.
Bobby also worked 23 years in tire building at Michelin plant in Ardmore, the Peanut Company in Madill and the past 15 years at Madill ECC. He also did ministry work, working as a pastor for the First Baptist Church in Tishomingo, Okla. and ministering to whoever came along his path. Bobby enjoyed golfing, fishing, camping and cooking on the bar b-q. He also liked playing Bingo at the nursing home and always reached out to help any person in need.
Bobby was preceded by his parents, wife; son, Bradley Davis; granddaughter, McKenzie Hughes Davis; brothers, David, Otis and Douglas Mac.
Bobby is survived by his children, Bobby L. Davis Jr. and wife Meagan of Tishomingo, Okla., Belinda E. Geter and husband Jamar of Madill, Okla., Bridget V. Davis of Edmond, Okla., Rebecca L. Davis of Oklahoma City, Okla.; 15 grandchildren, Bobbi Seals Shannon and husband Jerome, Lacey Dickerson, Ryan Orr, Jamar Geter, JamarcusVaughn,JaelaVaughn,MarquonDavis,Mahlik Davis and wife Breonna, Thomas Thompson and wife Deshayla, Ahmod Franklin, Vincent Carter Jr,. Alonzo Carter, Bobby Tyson and wife Jaden and Bradley Davis; 21 great grandchildren; brothers, Darrell Davis and wife Delline of Madill, Okla., Frank Davis and wife Sarah of Madill, Okla., Timothy Davis of Ardmore, Okla., Robert Davis of Madill, Okla., sisters, Debra Davis Bowens, and husband Greg of Ardmore, Okla., Joanna Orange and husband Kenneth of Oklahoma City, Okla., Patsy Benjamin and husband Larry of Ardmore, Okla.
Visitation will be August 16, 10 a.m. till 8 p.m. at Watts Funeral Home in Madill, with a family hour from 6 p.m. till 7 p.m. Funeral services will be at the First Baptist Church in Madill at 10 a.m. August 17. Interment will be 11 a.m. at the Woodberry Forrest Cemetary.
Casket Bearers will be Bobby Tyson, Jamar Geter, Marquon Davis, Noa Seals, Mahlik Davis and Bradley Davis.
Honorary Bearers areJamar Geter Jr., Elijah Seals, Jay-B Shannon (Scooby) and Thomas Thompson.
