Ethan Scott “Scotty” Sliger, 32, of Tishomingo, Okla., passed away on July 2, 2024, at Medical City Hospital in McKinney, Texas. Scotty was born on September 15, 1991, in Ardmore, Okla., to Donald Wayne Sliger and Bobbi Sue Dorer.
Scotty spent his early years in Mannsville, Okla., where he attended school and graduated from Dickson High School in 2009. He pursued a career as a welder in the oil fields, traveling across South Texasandworkingforvariouscompanies.
Scotty was affiliated with the Little City Baptist Church, He found joy in working on the farm, hunting, and shooting guns. His greatest joy was spending time with his nephews, Daxtyn and Jack and his family.
Scotty was preceded in death by his grandparents, Perry Alfred Dorer, Wanda Jo and John Melkovitz and uncle, Perry Dorer.
He is survived by his mothe,: Bobbi Dorer and sufficient other, Ronnie Wright of Tishomingo, Okla.; father, Donald Sliger and wife Angela of Kingston, Okla.; siblings, Brandon Sliger and wife Jordyne of Lebanon, Okla.; Hunter Sliger of Madill, Okla.; Cassidy Sliger of Kingston, Okla.; and Hailee Hawkins of Courtney, Okla.; grandparents, Wayne and Anna Sliger of Lebanon, Okla.; nieces and nephews, Daxtyn, Jack, Kalianna, Gauge, Rhyleigh, Remington, Beau and Laiklyn.
Visitation was held Sunday, July 7, 2024, at Watts Funeral Home in Madill, Okla. from 12:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. with a family hour from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
The funeral service was Monday, July 8, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. at Watts Memorial Chapel in Madill, Okla. Cecil Mackey officiated the service. Interment was at the Lone Cedar Cemetery in Mannsville, Okla. Service were under the direction of Watts Funeral Home in Madill, Okl. Condolences may be sent to wattsfuneralhome.com.
Casket Bearers were Casey Lee, Dillon McCurry, Keegun Laymance, Brian Muncrief, Pepper Melton, Tyler Waggoner, Kody Renshaw and Landon Hawkins.
Honorary Bearers were Garren Clement, Joey Marionneaux, Wayne Waggoner, Hunter Sliger, Daxtyn Sliger and Remington Hawkins.
Scotty’s legacy will live on in the hearts of his family and friends who remember his dedication, passion and the love he shared with those around him.
