MC residents graduate from Southeastern

Southeastern Oklahoma State University had 2024 spring commencement ceremonies withmaster’sdegrees awardedMay3andbaccalaureate degrees presented May 4 at Bloomer Sullivan Arena.

Madill and Kingston residents were among the graduates that the university said was the largest graduating class in Southeastern’s history with823studentsgraduating. Of those, 349 received baccalaureate degrees, 442 earned graduate degrees and there were 32 certificate recipients.

There were representatives from 41 states, 18 countries, and 15 sovereign tribal nations, according to the university.

“Within the graduating class, 332 graduates have indicated first-generation status, with 49 indicating legacy status – having a parent or grandparent who previously graduated from Southeastern,” the university said, in a news release.

The following Madill residents received degrees: Traven Bagley, Myrissa Paige Bowermaster, Marisol Canseco, Kristen Belle Chapa, Ethan Josiah Holliday, Damon Kane Robinson and Kaylen Danielle Sweat.

Kingston residents who received degrees are: Tyla JaneBohannon,DrewMitchell Capps, Colby Christian Carter, Nicholas J Herfurth, ThomasRyleeHolmes,Emily Dawn O'Steen and Matthew Lance O'Steen.
