Jason Dean Teafatiller, 50, of Durant, Okla. passed away on Saturday, July 1, 2023, at his home in Durant. He was born on November 22, 1972, in Ardmore, Okla.toLimuelLeeTeafatillerand Shirley Ann Dean Teafatiller Newman.
Jason was raised in Madill where he graduated from Madill High School in 1991 as Salutatorian of his class. After high school, he attended Southeastern Oklahoma State University in Durant where he received his Bachelor of Science Degree. He worked for Tyson Foods as a chemist for several years.
Jason married Emaline Ruann Cly on January 2, 2016, in Madill. In 2002 he began his trucking career with USA Truck Line until 2016 when he became owner/operator and started Teafatiller Trucking, LLC. JasonwasamemberoftheSeventhDayAdventistChurch, and he enjoyed fishing, hunting, watching the Dallas Cowboys and OU Sooners but most of all he loved being a grandpa. Jason was also a very patriotic young man.
Jason was preceded in death by his father, Limuel Teafatiller; grandparents and father-in-law Ned Cly.
Jason is survived by his wife, Emaline Teafatiller of Durant, Okla.; child, Erica Peyton Teafatiller of Madill, Okla.; grandson, Jerimiah Kayd Sanders of Madill, Okla.; stepchildren, Trey Ybarra of Durant, Okla., Joseff Ybarra of Corpus Christi, Texas; mother, Shirley Newman and husband Wayne of Madill, Okla.; sister, Jenny Flowers and husband Michael of Burneyville, Okla.; nieces, Sierra WillisandhusbandBraidonofBurneyville,Okla.,Shyanne Parker of Burneyville, Okla., great nephew, Bronx Mc-Clain Willis of Burneyville, Okla.; mother-in-law, Patricia Cly of Durant, Okla.
Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, July 7, 2023, at Watts Memorial Chapel in Madill, Okla. Jessie Pacheco and Adam Dean will officiate the service. Interment will be at the Woodberry-Forest Cemetery in Madill, Okla. Services will be under the direction of Watts Funeral Home in Madill, Okla. Condolences may be sent to wattsfuneralhome. com. Casket Bearers will be Trey Ybarra, Michael Flowers, Brock Thurman, Eric Dean, Shannon Poppe, and Cody Gordon.
