A Mead man was arrested in Marshall County following an Amber Alert. Chance Risner, 38, was the subject of a BOLO and his son was the subject of an Amber Alert on August 2.
According to law enforcement, Risner was arguing with two family members around noon on Friday. The family members allege that Risner pulled out a gun and fired it into the ground with his four-year-old son standing next to him.
Nobody was hurt. However, Risner, the non-custodial parent, took off with his son, and the police issued the Amber Alert.
Risner is facing charges for Kidnapping and Reckless Conduct with a Firearm. If convicted, Risner could face up to 20 years in prison.
