Epic Charter School senior and Madill resident, Shelby Pearce, was awarded Oklahoma Christian University's Dean's Merit Scholarship. She was awarded the scholarship on February 29 during the university's 'Merit Night Scholarship ceremony. The scholarship will cover $8,000 per semester for Pearce's college.
Pearce began taking online classes through Epic since her sophomore year as part of Epic's Collegiate Academy. She will graduate in the top five percent of her graduating class with honors and an Associate's Degree. Pearce participates in E-sports and volunteers in the community. She was accepted as a full time student at OC and plans to pursue a Psychology degree.
