For God so loved the world that he gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.
(John 3:16) Henry Moorhouse, a young British evangelist, famously preached at D.L. Moody’s Chicago church for seven consecutive nights in the late 1860s. He preached on only one verse in the Bible, John 3:16.
The church was packed with people wanting to hear more. On the last night, D.L. Moody said, “I never knew God loved me so much!”
God loves you more than you can ever imagine!
The words of this old hymn say it so well: Could we with ink the ocean fill, and were the skies of parchment made; were ev’ry stalk on earth a quill, and everyone a scribe by trade; to write the love of God above would drain the ocean dry; nor could the scroll contain the whole, though stretched from sky to sky.
(Frederick M. Lehman) Thought for the week: God loves you!
Prayer for the week: Pray that everyone in Madill will know how much God loves them.
