Tragedies strike Marshall County

Two major tragedies occurred in Marshall County in the span of 24 hours. At approximately 6:20 p.m. on January 19, there was a double fataility accident on US 377. Oklahoma Highway Patrol reported that Michael Stiverson, a 60-year-old from Gordonville, Texas was traveling north on 377.

Reports show that Stiverson crossed the double line and hit Nickii Cryer, a 69-year-old from Kingston. The wreck claimed the lives of both drivers.

The second tragedy was a house fire in Madill. At approximately 2:30 a.m. on January 20, there was a house fire near Hwy 99C and Weaverton Road.

Eight people were inside the house when the fire started. Four people were injured andunfortunately,amanand a woman both perished in the fire. A GoFundMe campaign was started to help the family.
