Fire provention is important, especialluy during the summer. There are many precautions one can take.
Never leave cooking unattended. Keep such things as towels, paper and curtains away from burners and oven or any open flame.
Turn pot handles inward to prevent accidental spills and burns. Do not overload electrical outlets.
Replace all damaged cords immediately. Check the walls around outlets to make sure they're not warm. If so, replace the outlet or call a licensed eletrictrian.
Ladies, the next Auxiliary meeting will be Monday, June 15 at 1:30 p.m., with fellowship at 1 p.m. prior to the meeting. Anyone who would like to join the Auxiliary please join the next meeting.
The exercise/stretching classes are every Monday andWednesdayat10:00a.m. Card games are held on the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of the month at 12:00 p.m.
For anyone needing to rent the Texoma Community Center building for a party or family gathering place contact Judy Jeffreys at 405-684-1636. Calls are monitored twice a week so please allow plenty of time for your event.
The cost is $75 per day and can only be rented by members of the Fire District. The building capacity is 158.
