On Wednesday, August 1, a woman from Texas was killed in an accident in the Enos community.

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol said Kayla Cox, a 26-year-old from Alvarado, Texas died after being thrown from her car.

The accident occurred on Post Office Road, just south of Williams Farm Road.

The report said Cox was driving southbound when her vehicle departed the roadway, and caused her vehicle to roll. It was reported that Cox was not wearing her seatbelt, and was ejected from the vehicle.

OHP Trooper Heath Davidson said in a press release that high speed was the cause of the accident. “It’s a speed limit of 45 miles per hour, unless otherwise posted. So, it can be 45 or under. But it’s posted 45 for a reason,” he said.
