Several tornados hit the Texoma area

Many residents had a scary Easter because many towns were hit by storms Saturday night and Sunday morning. Even though multiple areas were hit with high wind and bad storms, some were hit by tornadoes.

The National Weather Service confirmed Tuesday that eight tornadoes touched down in southern Oklahoma. An EF-1 tornado hit near LebanoninMarshallCounty. Severalhomesweredamaged in Powell and Willis. One home near Little City was completely destroyed.

In Ada, one person was hurt and at least 30 people were displaced from an EF-1 tornado. It damaged the North Hills Shopping center and multiple homes.

Pontotoc County was hit with an EF-1 tornado. Nobody was injured, but a barn east of Byng was damaged and a home had windows blown in from the storm.

Love County was hit by two tornadoes. An EF-2 near Courtney and another tornado near Rubottom left behind some residential damage.
