TheMadillAlumniEducational Foundation hosted its Baked Potato Fundraiser on Monday, February 24, with 100% of the proceeds going towards the Brandon Jacks Memorial Scholarship.
Foundation members and volunteers began baking potatoes earlyMondaymorning at6a.m.Delicioushomemade chili by Tabatha Scasta, pulled pork prepared by Mindy Brown and tempting dessert options by many generous donors were delivered by 7 a.m.
The baked potato lunches featured one loaded baked potato with optional toppings of cheese, chili, pulled pork, butter,sourcreamandgrated cheese, accompanied by a salad and dessert choices of pound cake, strawberry cake, peach cobbler and white and chocolate cakes.
Everyone had a great time working together in fellowship, benefiting our community's educational support. We encountered one minor mishap when a delivery driver locked his keys in his pickup.
Thebakedpotatoluncheon has raised over $4,700, and donations are still coming in.
