The November 2019 meeting of the Madill Public Works Authority was held November 13 following the conclusion of that evening’s city council meeting.

The meeting started at 5:26 p.m. and was called to order by Mayor Travis Williams.

Along with Williams, the other four members of the MPWA were present. They are Bobby Davis, Mary Ann Hale, Terry Rushing and Shaunda Stanley.

A motion was made by Rushing to approve the consent agenda.

It consisted of the minutes of October 8, 2019 meeting and October General Fund purchase orders.

Stanley seconded the motion. The motion carried by a 5-0 vote.

No items were removed from the consent agenda, rendering the next item moot.

City Manager James Fullingim then presented the financial report.

Fullingim did not have a City Manager’s report.

However, he did pass along a reminder from past board member Heath Weaver about banners for hometown heroes. Fullingim then got up and showed the members a photo of example banners on his phone.

At that time, Hale, who was appointed to Weaver’s position earlier in the evening, asked a question.

“Did he talk about where to place them in a particular area,” she said.

Then, Fullingim replied.

“No,” he said.

The group discussed possible dates for the banners to be displayed. However, no action was taken.

As there were no unscheduled public appearances or remarks by the council members, the meeting was adjourned.

The motion for adjournment was made by Stanley and seconded by Rushing. All members voted for adjournment.
