Manslaugher, assault and other crimes

Courtesy Photo • Marshall County Sheriff Danny Cryer On July 21, emergency personnel were dispatched to the Chickasaw Pointe Golf Course entrance. A fixed wing single-engine Cessna was forced to make a emergency landing after losing power. The plane took off from a runway south of US Highway 70. It is reported that the plane lost power, hit a road sign, and skimmed the roof of an eastbound vehicle. It is also reported the pilot was not a licensed pilot. He had an expired student pilot license with two passengers. It is illegal to have passengers and be a student pilot. The Federal Aviation Administration is investigating the occurrence.

Body

Manslaughter: Garrett Turnham, a 32-year-old male from Whitesboro, Texas was arrested on July 15 for probation violation. In July 2015, Turnham was arrested and charged with manslaughter. He failed to appear at one of his hearings, and was subsequently arrested. The suspect pled guilty to Manslaughter in March 2017, and sentences to probation. An online search shows multiple convictions for Turnham in Grayson and Cooke Counties.

Assault: On July 16, Jennifer Bevill, a 45-year-old woman from Ponca City, and Stormi Thomas, a 19-year-old from Madill were both arrested on a bench warrant for Failure to Appear on cases from 2018.

Alyssa Hoisington, a 29-year-old from Kingston, was arrested on a Failure to Appear bench warrant for charges stemming from 2018. Domestic Assault in the Presence of a Minor, Trespassing, Possession of a Controlled Substance and Possession of Paraphernalia.

Embezzlement/Larceny/ Theft: On July 16, Ronald Lavarnway, a 66-year-old man from Ardmore was arrested for Embezzlement.

Casey Jacks, a 24-year-old male from Kingston, was arrested on a Failure to Appear bench warrant from 2014. His charge is a Motion to Revoke his probation stemming from a Second Degree Burglary conviction. Amber Soto was also arrested on July 18 for Larceny of Merchandise from a Retailer less than $500. Soto is a 38-year-old female from Mannsville.

On July 19, Gary Marshall, a 67-year-old from Atoka, was arrested for Larceny of Lost Property.

Driving Under the Influence or Suspension: William Tollson, a 57-year-old male from Whitesboro, Texas was arrested on July 16 for Driving Under Suspension and a Defective Vehicle. Also, on July 16, Albert Hall — a 59-year-old male from Lawton — was arrested for a probation violation stemming from 1998. Hall was arrested in December 1995 for Felony DUI Second and Subsequent. He pled guilty and sentenced to probation in 1996. The bench warrant was issued in 1998. Hall has multiple misdemeanor convictions of Driving Under Suspension, Transportation of an Open Container, and other crimes.

On July 17, Francisco Cervantes, a 56-year-old male from Arlington, Texas was arrested for No Drivers License, Speeding and No Insurance.

Chad Polster, a 39-yearold male from Madill, was arrested on July 19 for No Drivers License, No Insurance and Speeding. An online records search shows Polster has multiple warrants for various crimes, including Domestic Assault.

On July 20, Donald Brewer, a 34-year-old male from Durant was arrested for Driving Under Suspension, and Justin Warner, a 40-year-old from Kingston was arrested for Driving Under the Influence and Leaving the Scene of an Accident.

Possession: On July 16, Norma House, a 32-year-old female from Tishomingo was arrested on a Failure to Appear bench warrant. She is facing a Possession charge that stems from 2018. House also has multiple convictions like Possession, Assault and Battery of a Correctional Officer, and Placing Bodily Fluids on a Government Employee.

Kenneth Goodwin, a 41-year-old male from Kingston, was arrested on July 16 on a Failure to Appear bench warrant from Carter County for Manufacturing Methamphetamine. Goodwin also has multiple convictions from Marshall County for Possession.

Dusty Whitaker, a 42-yearold male from Tishomingo, pled guilty to Possession of a Controlled Substance with intent to distribute on April

26. He was ordered to attend drug rehabilitation, or serve time. On June 4, Whitaker was kicked out of rehab, and in turn, a warrant for his arrest was issued.

On July 19, Jared Whisman, a 44-year-old male from Sherman, Texas was arrested for Possession, Possession of Paraphernalia, No Drivers License and Expired Tags. Johnny May, a 52-year-old male from Gordonville, Texas was also arrested.

Miscellaneous: On July 15, Brandi Jordan, a 33-yearold female from Ardmore was arrested on a Trespassing Charge. Charles Lodes, a 33-year-old male from Kingston was arrested for Trespassing on July 17.

Brandon Robbins, a 19-yearold male from Kingston was arrested on July 18 for a Failure to Appear bench warrant for Speeding.

On July 19, Trevor White, a 28-year-old male from Durant, was arrested on a Bryan County warrant for Falsely Impersonating Another to Create Liability.
