Blue River
Submitted by: Ethan Lovelace
Date: 03/24/2020
Lake Elevation: Above Average
Water Temp and Clarity: 55 and muddy
Trout, Rainbow
Action: Fair
Baits: In-line Spinnerbait, Powerbait, Spoons
Locations: Creek channels, River Channel, and below falls behind current breaks
Additional Information: Fishing has been slow due to high water but the river is coming down nicely. Fishing should start picking up as the river continues to get back to normal flows and clarity. Focus on fishing around structure that provides a current break for the trout to get behind. Best bait right now is the rainbow garlic scented Powerbait.

Additional Information: Fishing has picked up on the lake but with the recent weather day to day is not consistence. Crappie are in the staging process getting ready to spawn in the shallows. Most of the crappie being caught vary from 18ft to 5ft depending on the day. Pink seems to be a good color to produce bites. Anglers are reporting good size crappie averaging 13inches and healthy ( Don't forget about the min length requirement of 10 inches on Texoma Waters ). Striped Bass working on points and beneath active birds. A Rigs and sassy shad have been the go to baits, schools of striper have been moving fast so don't be afraid to chase schools of feeding fish. Sand bass have been showing up in feeder creeks on warm days, use sassy shads and road runners to catch sand bass in creeks.
