Senior Spotlight

Madeline Read is a senior at Madill High School and has spent the last 12 years in the Madill school system. Read is the daughter of Chuck and Eileen Read, and she has a younger brother, Izik. Throughout her time at Madill, she has been an active participant in both competitive cheer at Oklahoma OutlawsandtheMadill High School Band.

Reflecting on her favorite school memories, Madeline said she cherishes the moments spent with friends, often recalling the laughter and fun they shared during class. One standout memory from her band experience occurred during her freshman year when the marching band performed “Dia De Los Muertos.” Madeline recalled the thrill of performing well at games and competitions.

Looking ahead, Madeline said she plans to pursue a college education in physical therapy, where she hopes to combine her love for helping others with her academic interests.

Madeline expressed heartfelt thanks to her directors for instilling a sense of responsibility and the importance of communication, especially through emails. She also shared a touching thank you to her parents.

“Thank you for being my biggest supporters and being by my side through everything,” she said. “I’m grateful for both of you every day.”

Madeline said she draws inspiration from her parents, whom she describes as the strongest people she knows. In the realm of music, her brother Izik served as a significant source of motivation, impressing her with his talent on various instruments.
