Local family mourning loss of a young life

A Marshall County family is left picking up the pieces after an accident. Tragedy struck their family on June 3 when Keesyn Koi Douglas Jones, a bubbly one-year-old little boy, was killed.

An Oklahoma Highway Patrol officer said a Chevrolet pickup with five occupants backed out of a drive on Back Street. The vehicle struck Keesyn when it began to drive forward.

Paramedics performed life-saving maneuvers, and the child was rushed to AllianceHealth Madill. Unfortunately, he was pronounced at the hospital.

Family members are still trying to understand how something so tragic could happen to the little boy.

"A precious perfect gift gone too soon," said a relative close to the boy, but wished to remain anonymous.

Funeral arrangments have yet to be made. However, the family is taking donations to cover the sudden funeral expenses. For anybody wishing to donate, cal Brown's Funeral Services in Durant and tell them the donation is for Keesyn Jones.
