Kingston school boad holds meeting

The members of the Kingston Public Schools Board of Education met for its regular meeting on March 9 at the Kingston superintendent’s office.

The meeting was called to order at 6:00 a.m. by Acting Board President Steve Beebe.

Members present were Michael Herndon, Randy Arneson and B.J. Bellettini. Jeff Mc-Donald was absent. Others in attendance were Superintendent Brian Brister and Kathy Burnett; Minute Clerk.

Michael Herndon made a motion to approve the Consent Agenda Items. Randy Arneson seconded. All voted yes.

Written reports by the district’s principals were then presented, but no action was taken.

Bellettini made a motion to approve a proposed modification of the 2020-2021 School Calendar. Herndon seconded. All voted yes.

Arneson made a motion to approve setting up the Activity Fund with BancFirst. Steve Beebe seconded. All voted yes.

An agenda item regarding bond items was listed but no action was taken.

A proposed executive session to discuss the reemployment status of the certified personnel listed on Schedule A for the 2020-2021 school year. 25 O.S. Sec 307 (B) (1) was listed on the agenda.

However, Arneson made a motion not to convene in executive session. Steve Beebe seconded. All voted yes.

Arneson made a motion to reemploy the certified personnel listed on Schedule A for the 2020-2021 school year. Herndon adjourned the meeting at 6:40 a.m.
