Jerry Don Stuckey, Marshall County Commissioner Candidate

Jerry Don Stuckey, a lifelong resident of Marshall County, said his decision to seek the District 1 commissioner seatcomesfromadeep connection to the area and a desire to continue serving the people he has known throughout his life.

“This is home,” Stuckey said in a statement shared on social media. “My family and I built our life here, and I raised my children right here in the same community that helped raise me.”

As he enters the final stretch of the campaign, Stuckey said he is focusing heavily on his familiarity with the district's road system and infrastructure needs. He noted that he has spent several years working onandaroundroadsthroughout District 1 and believes that hands-on experience gives him a practical understanding of the challenges facing county government.

According to Stuckey, he has operated the equipment used in road maintenance, understands the day-to-day responsibilities involved in keeping county roads functional and safe and is familiar with many of the trouble spots that require attention. Rather than campaigning on sweeping promises, Stuckey said his approach is based on dependable service and a willingness to listen to residents.

“I am not one for making big promises,” he said on social media. “I believe in showing up, working hard, listening to the people, and doing the job right.”

The candidate said his primary goal, if elected, would be to responsibly maintain and improve roads throughout District 1 while continuing tostrengthenthecommunity. He described the residents of the district as more than constituents, calling them neighbors, friends and people he has worked alongside for many years.

As voters prepare to cast their ballots, Stuckey's message remains focused on local roots and practical experience. He said he believes District 1 deserves leadership thatunderstandscounty operations from the ground level and is committed to serving residents with accountability and dedication.

Stuckey thanked residents for their support and asked for the opportunity to servethecommunitythathas played such a significant role in his life.

“I would appreciate your support and the opportunity to serve the community that has meant so much to me,” Stuckey said.

With election day nearing, Marshall County voters will soon decide who will represent District 1 and oversee some of the county's most important responsibilities, including road maintenance, infrastructureimprovements and other services that directly impact residents across the district.
