Imagination library making its way into S. OK

Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library has recently expanded into southern Oklahoma, including Marshall County. This initiative aims to foster early literacy by providing free, age-appropriate books to children from birth through age five, regardless of family income. The program is a collaborative effort between the UnitedWayofSouth-Central Oklahoma and the Southern Oklahoma Library System (SOLS), with support from local organizations.

To enroll your child in the Imagination Library in Marshall County, follow these steps: Go to the Imagination Library website and enter your ZIP code to check if the program is available in your area. If the program is available, you can complete the registration process online by providing your child's name, birthdate and your contact information.

You can also register in person. Just visit a local library or community center participating in the program to register your child. To register by mail, simply download a registration form from the website, fill it out and mail it to the address provided.

Onceregistered,yourchild will begin receiving a new book each month until their fifthbirthday.Theprogramis entirely free, with no cost to families. Books are selected to be age-appropriate and engaging, aiming to inspire a love of reading from an early age.
