By Sunday, northwest flow returns as high pressure builds to our west, and another weak front brings storm chances back into the area through early next week. The stronger jet stream winds stay north of Oklahoma, which keeps the severe potential limited.
This is a typical early summer pattern for our area, with fronts still able to slip south and bring occasional storms while the stronger jet stream energy remains to our north. Storm chances may ease toward midweek as another high pressure system aloft tries to build in from the west.
