THE FORECAST CALLS FOR

Thursday brings hot and sunny weather before a front and a change in the upperlevel winds Thursday night start to bring storm chances back.

A west-northwest flow aloft strengthens this weekend into early next week as a trough settles into the Plains and that pattern is one of the classic early summer setups for the southern Plains.

It often sends storms out of western and northern Oklahoma and down toward Texoma overnight and the boundaries those storms leave behind can help new storms form later in the day.

Some storms could bring gustywindsandheavierrain and if a few rounds track over the same places, localized flooding may become a concern.

Highs drop back into the upper 80s to near 90 and the off and on storm chanceslook to stick around Madill well into next week.
