First United Bank to host Pillar Academy

First United Bank is beginning their annual Pillar Academy.Theeventisforany junior attending Marshall County schools.

The bank selects six students from each school who will attend monthly meetings to learn about the bank's four pillars (Personal Growth, Faith, Financial Well-Being and Health and Wellness). It also teaches how the four pillars turn into real-life scenarios and situations that might occur in the student's everyday work, school and personal lives.

Students will also be taught critical interview and resume skills and be able to practice with First United Bank hiring managers. Students will also have the opportunity to participate in the United Acts of Kindness event, attend the bank's annual Stakeholder meeting and tour the corporate offices in Durant.

The academy ends on a high note of a celebration dinner and one student from each school will be selected to win a scholarship. Interested students can get an application from their school's counselor.
