Ardmore, OK – A groundbreaking ceremony will take place on Wednesday, September 14, 2022, to mark the commencement of construction ontheCommunityYouth Services of Southern Oklahoma New Youth Service Center. Built by Nabholz and designed by SDG Architects, the new youth center will be located at 830 Park Street SE in Ardmore, Oklahoma.
Community Youth Services of Southern Oklahoma is the designated youth service center for Carter and Love counties. Services include residential services for homeless youth up to age 18; counseling for youth and families; classes for youth and families; and a food pantry, clothing closet and school supplies closet. All services are provided free of charge.
The new 16,500-squarefoot YouthServiceCenterwill provide more than twice the space of the current campus in which critical services will be provided to struggling youth and families in southern Oklahoma.
The new facility is expected to be completed in late 2023.
