Body

Scouting is alive and well in our area. Madill’s Cub Scout Pack, Pack 121, will be holding a signup event on Monday, October 5, at 6:00 p.m. The event will be held at the Madill Church of Christ fellowship building, at the corner of Fourth Street and Lillie in Madill.

Boys and girls between 5 and 11 years of age can sign up for Cub Scouts. The Pack will generally meet at that location every Monday night at 6:00 p.m. Cost to sign up will be $58.00, and Scouting volunteers and an Arbuckle Area Council representative will be present at the event to answer questions and assist with signing up.

Additionally, parents who were unable to attend the Kingston recruitment event last week are welcome to attend this event, and can sign their children up for Pack 126, Kingston’s Cub Scout Pack.

Representatives from Troop 10, Marshall County’s Scouts BSA (formerly Boy Scout) Troop will also be there, and boys 11 and older can sign up to join the Troop. Troop 10 meets on Monday nights as well, at 7:00 p.m. at the Madill United Methodist Church. Girls in the same age group are also welcome to sign up for Scouting and will be given information on where they can find a Troop for girls in the area.

Anyone with questions can contact District Executive James Tillison at the Arbuckle Area Council, (580) 223 0831.
