As always with trends, the pendulum swings and what wasoldisnewagain.Thatcan be said about the former location of the Country Kitchen in Kingston.
What was once the location oftheCountryKitchenin KingstoniscurrentlyCafe70. However, it will once again be called Country Kitchen. This time around, the restaurant located off highway 70 in Kingston will be owned and operated by Matt and Jennifer Morgan, the owners of the Country Kitchen in Madill. Jennifer said they are waiting on paperwork to be finalized before announcing an opening date.
“We don’t have a solid opening date yet,” Jennifer said. “We should have an answer in two weeks, we are waiting on paperwork.”
Jennifer said the restaurant will still have the Country Kitchen feel because they have a connection to the former Country Kitchen that was owned by the Blands.
“My husband, Matt, worked for Rick Bland for about 10 years or so,” she said.
This new ownership will truly bring the restaurant full circle. Since the Morgans had the connection with the Blands, Jennifer said the restaurant will be just as it was prior to being sold in 2022.
“The menu will be the same as before without the buffet.”
