The New Beginnings Church, along with the Madill and Kingston Methodist Churches, are hosting their first annual Christmas event. The event called “Make a Joyful Noise” was created out of a need.
The Bell Choir, which consists of members from all three churches, were getting requests from each church to perform, and they needed to figure out a way to do just that. The members put on their thinking hats and formulated a plan. They would create a community event and bring everybody together to celebrate Jesus.
The event will be Sunday, December 19 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the New Beginnings Church in Madill. It will have a Chancel Choir, a Handbell Choir, and a children’s program.
It will also have a dramatic reading of a Christmas story and a live portrayal of Mary from Jesus’ conception to birth. The other musical numbers will consist of a flute solo, piano solos and multiple vocal solos, along with a sing along.
There will be cookies and hot chocolate, as well. There is not a fee to attend the event, but they will be taking donations for the Santa’s Elves program.
