Well Buncombe Creek, here we are already at the end of July and school is just around the corner. The Kingston High School enrollment dates are July 22 thru July 26 with the first day of class starting Thursday, August 8, 2019.
I see the stores already have their school supplies on the shelves. We will need to be alert for buses and children as the school year progresses.
Fishing is still great on Lake Texoma with everyone catching their limits. Be sure to book a fishing trip with one of our guides in the area.
Hopefully everyone has been able to cope with the high temps lately. It seems we either stay inside to enjoy the benefits of the air conditioner or get out on the water and enjoy swimming or jet skiing. It would be nice for the sweltering high temps to move back down a bit.
I really don’t have much to report other than remind everyone of the “Bash for Cash” on August 15. Be sure to purchase a dinner ticket or donate an item for the auctions. It is a fun event and quite beneficial. The LTA’s mission is to protect and preserve Lake Texoma and the surrounding region, as well as promotion of the entire Texoma region in Oklahoma and Texas. Your contribution will help fund the association’s progress.
