Benefit

As previously reported by The Madill Record, Coty Tweedy was in a serious vehicle accident when his rear tire blew and his truck wrapped around a tree. On July 10, Coty was trapped for over two hours, and med flighted to TMC in Denison.

Coty has undergone two surgeries with the first one to put a stretcher in his leg to keep his muscles from shriveling up and the second one was to put a rod in his leg due to a clean break on both the tibia and fibula.

Coty is a senior at Madill High School and a five-star athlete. He is on the wrestling, baseball and football teams. Being a starter for the football team for the past three years, this season will be different.

He has a rough road ahead of him. To ease the financial burden on his family, and to allow him to focus on healing, the Dickson Police Department is going to host a benefit for Coty.

On August 17, from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., there will be a pancake breakfast in honor of Coty.

It will be held at the Dickson Police Department located at 35 Eastgate Loop in Ardmore. Plates are only $5.00. So, show up for a good cause.
