A local restaurant was featured on America's Best Restaurants, a YouTube channel that travels America trying out restaurants.
Bella Vita has been the talk of the town since it's opened its doors in 2024. Not only is it the only Italian restaurant in Marshall County, it is also known for delivering delicious food and making their guests feel like family.
Lauren Smith, the Marketing Coordinator of Bella Vita, said the name says it all.
“It means beautiful life in Italian,” Smith said in a KXII interview. ' That’s our whole mission statement. Make your life beautiful whether its with your family or friends here.'
Restaurant owner Gima Idrizi started learning and perfecting the food over 15 years ago. He said he carries tradition with him by making the meals from scratch.
“We make everything from scratch in here,” Idrizi told KXII. “when you order something you can customize it if you have any allergies or any food restrictions.”
This home-town feel and to-die-for food isn't the only thing that grabbed America's Best Restaurants' attention. J Russell, one of the show's hosts, said they were told about the restaurant's welcoming feel and giving nature.
“Even today, they’re donating some of the catering for the girl’s tennis team,” said Russell in the YouTube video. “That’s not something that’s going to get spotlighted normally. Knowing that this restaurant actually helps out the community just makes you want to eat there more.”
Russell said that giving spirit is what brought their crew to Kingston and Bella Vita.
