Beetlejuice, say it three times

Tim Burton, the mastermind behind hit films such as Edward Scissorhands, Batman, and Beetlejuice, has done it again with his latest hit and sequel Beetlejuice Beetlejuice.

Three generations of the Deetz family return home to Winter River after an unexpected family tragedy. Still haunted by Beetlejuice, Lydia still sees glimpses of her ghoulish admirer and the connection only becomes stronger after returning to Winter River.

Lydia's life soon gets turnedupsidedownwhenher rebellious teenage daughter is tricked into a mysterious portal to the afterlife. Lydia is forcedtofaceherowndemons and ask Beetlejuice for help getting her daughter back to the land of the living.

Just like in the original, when someone says Beetlejuice's name three times, the mischievous demon gleefully returns to unleash his very ownbrandofmayhem. There was some adult-style humor lending to the movie getting a PG rating.

However, the return of the all-star cast of Micheal Keaton, Winona Ryder and Katherine O’Hare, joined by anensembleofbignameslike Jenna Ortega, Willam Defoe andDannyDeVito, willmake this a family favorite. Rotten Tomatoes gave it an 83%, but I felt the movies crazy antics and Burton and Keaton’s chemistry shine through. This will probably become a cult classic just like its predecessor.
