Brylee Bruster is the son of Bobby Bruster and grandson of Ben and Michelle Bruster. He is one of two senior baseball players this year of the Madill High School team. Following in his dad’s cleated footsteps, he has played baseball starting as a young kid to his junior high year and through his entire high school career.

Bruster shared his admiration for his coaches and all they have done for him.

“I want to tell my coaches that they’ve been beyond amazing and have given me the best experience I could’ve ever asked for,” Bruster said.

Besides being a part of the baseball team, he is also a part of the National Honor Society and has been a part of FFA for three years. Due to COVID hitting last year and shutting down the schools, Bruster, like many others, lost out on getting to participate in their spring sports or activities such as prom. He said he felt as though he was cheated from his last few years of high school like many other students affected by COVID.

His grandmother Michelle said the shutdown was especially hard on Bruster.

“I know it effected a lot of kids, but it was very hard on him and he missed all his friends, and baseball,” she said. “He did online classes this year and then came to school to play baseball. He has already finished his schoolwork so now he can just do baseball and have fun.”

He said his favorite memories from high school were, “spending crazy nights with his friends.”

After high school, Bruster plans on attending a trade school for either diesel tech or a welder’s apprentice. He said that he was very thankful for those that got him through his high school years.

“I wouldn’t be here without them,” he said.
