Oklahoma Highway Patrol Tropper Darren Alexander retired from the OHP on May 25. Alexander, Trooper #395, graudated from the 48th Oklahoma Highway Patrol Academy in 1995 and was assigned to the Marshall County detachment of Troop E - Durant.
In early 2004, Alexander was transferred to Troop ES. However,laterthesameyear, hewastransferredbacktohis home troop.
He remained in Troop E until 2010 when Marshall County became part of Troop F - Ardmore.
In Alexander's career, he has been a Firearms Instructor, LEDT Instructor and a hostage negotiator. He has also served as a member of the Marshall County EMS Board, Madill Booster Club and the Masonic Lodge.
Alexander and his wife, Gena, are longtime Madill residents. They have two children, Talon and Abbie.
He and his family are members of the First Baptist Church in Madill.
