The Marshall County Expo was abuzz this past week, as local residents turnedoutinstrongnumbers for an evening town hall hosted by Representative Josh Cantrell, Senator Jerry AlvordandStateRepresentative Cody Maynard.
The event brought together communitymembers, elected officials and local leaders for a robust discussion on key issues facing the state and county. Representative Cantrell hailed the night as a success.
“It was a great evening in Marshall County,” Cantrell said. “The turnout was fantastic, and the public’s questions and comments were especially engaging.”
He emphasized the importance oflocalgovernmentand the vital role tourism plays in supporting the regional economy. Senator Jerry Alvord addressed the crowd with a focus on tax reform, highlighting his efforts to push for responsible tax cuts at the state level.
RepresentativeCodyMaynard followed by discussing the need to rein in burdensome administrative rules, signaling his continued commitment to cutting red tape and increasing government accountability.
Also speaking at the event was Marshall County Commissioner Chris Duroy, who gave updates on county issues and the operations of local government. Attendees had the opportunity to ask questions, raise concerns and hear directly from those serving them in Oklahoma City.
The event was hosted in collaboration with the Marshall County Chamber of Commerce, with special thanks extended to the County for use of the Expo Center.
Representative Cantrell gave a shoutout to Commissioner Duroy for his help in organizing the event and helping it run smoothly.
“This was just the beginning,” said Cantrell. “We’ll be doing this again, and I look forward to continuing these open conversations with our constituents.”
