The Texoma Fire District Board of Directors meets the first Thursday of the month at the Training/Community Center at 6:30 p.m.. The next meeting will occur on April 6, 2023. All are welcome to attend.
The Texoma Fire District Auxiliary met on the Monday, March 20, 2023 with 13 members in attendance, all reciting the Pledge of Allegiance. Refreshments were provided by Linda Orrson and Cyndi Reed.
The West Bay Casino had their soft opening on March 21, 2023. Only the casino and restaurant is operating at this time.
It was reported that there is a gentleman from Wapanucka who has purchased Dark Corner and will be constructing a convenient store there. Vangie Sutton won the door prize.
The Humorous reading was given by Judy Daffern. Lisa Leclerc is the Fellowship Coordinator. She asks, If you know of any members who are sick, please let her know so that she may send a card.
The Liaison to TFD Fire Boardreportsthattherewere 13 EMR calls, two crashes and eight fires last month. Mary green is our Historian and has a history book of all events pertaining to the TFD Auxiliary.
Birthdays:BrendaElledge and Sheila Sikes have March birthdays. They each chose a gift and while they opened them, we sang Happy Birthday.
The Auxiliary held a Indoor Rummage Sale and Bake on March 25. It was a huge success. Thank you to all who participated.
The next meeting will be on April 17, 2023 at 10978 Parkview Rd. in Kingston. We’re looking forward to seeing you!
The Exercise/ Stretching classes are on Monday and Wednesday at 10 a.m. and the Cards/ Games are on the second and fourth Tuesday of the month at 12:30 p.m. Auxillary members are welcome to join in on the fun.
If you are interested in renting the Texoma Community Building , contact Gayla Freeman at (580) 565-4043 and leave a message. She will get right back with you. The cost is $75 per day. You must be a member of the Texoma Fire District to rent the building.
TheLighthouseMethodist Church located at 4923 Alberta CreekRoadinKingston will provide a Wednesday evening meal starting at 5:00 p.m to 6:30 p.m. They also have Lighthouse Kids, a program for grade school children consisting of Bible stories, crafts and games. It is held each Wednesday from 4:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., prior to the evening meal.
The Lighthouse Methodist Church is also having a Craft and Rummage Sale on April 1, 2023 from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Inside ($20) and outside booths(15)canbeobtainedby calling 580-564-9733.
There is also a Easter Egg Hunt on April 5, 2023 after the meal which starts at 5 p.m. Come join the fun.
