The match between the Kingston Redskins and the Tishomingo Indians at Kingston’s home stadium took place on Thursday, October 12. Numerous turnovers and skilled maneuvers characterized the game, leaving watchers intrigued, and soon enough, the Redskins extended their winning streak in the district matches.

Head Coach Hill said that even though they won, it isn’t the time to let up on the accelerator.

“We played well on both sides of the ball, we need to keep playing how we have been, healthy and consistent, going into the game next week,” he said.

The game kicked off with the Redskins taking the lead, forcing the Indians to punt from their own 45-yard line. Kingston’s swift offensive drive, led by Sam Walker and Cash Walker, paved the way for Parks Ratzlaff to dash into the endzone from the sevenyard line, securing the first touchdown of the game. The Redskinssecuredanearly7-0 lead with the extra point at the 6:49 mark.

Following the kickoff, Tishomingo made strides, only to be stopped by Kingston’s defense, leading to another punt to the Redskins. Taking initiative, the Redskins, spearheaded by Sam Walker, showcased their prowess, resulting in the second touchdown of the game at the 14-yard line, bringing the score to 14-0 at the 3:28 mark. Tishomingo’s attempts to rally were halted as they were pushed back by the Redskins defense until the end of the quarter.

The second quarter saw Tishomingo managing to secure their first touchdown at the 6:57 mark, marking a resurgence for the away team. However, Kingston’s offense, led by Cash Walker and Logan Stephens, swiftly countered, securing multiple touchdowns, including an interception by Stephens leading to a powerful run into the endzone. The halftime concluded with Kingston firmly in the lead at 42-6.

The third quarter was marked by a defensive standoff, with both teams struggling to break the deadlock. Aiden Donnell’s defensive plays and Cash Walker’s interception highlighted the stalemate, but still the stall continued, leaving the score unchanged by the end of the quarter.

As the final quarter commenced, Kingston’s offensive momentum was interrupted byaturnover,allowingTishomingo to make a rush to the endzone, resulting in their second touchdown and a successful two-point conversion, bringing the score to 42-14 at the 5:10 mark. The remaining minutes saw both teams engaged in a back-and-forth struggle, culminating in an interception by Ty Jones, stopping Tishomingo’s final push, sealing Kingston’s decisive victory.

The Redskins are hoping to keep their win streak alive as they go to Holdenville to face the Wolverines on October 20.
