The match between the Kingston Redskins and the Holdenville Wolverines took place at the Holdenville stadium on Friday, October 19. The game culminated in a victorious extension of the Redskins' winning streak.

As the 1st quarter began, the Wolverines' initial drive on the 35-yard line was thwarted by a fumble recovered by Brady Greene, resulting in a turnover soon after. Charging from the 32-yard line, the Redskins maneuvered across the field to the 13-yard line. From the 13, Logan Stevans bolted to the endzone, securing the first touchdown of the game at the 10:02 mark, giving the Redskins an early lead of 7-0 after the extra point.

Holdenville retaliated, launching an 80-yard surge after the kickoff reaching the endzone, securing their own touchdown at the 9:06 mark, and narrowing the gap to 7-6. Retaliating to the Wolverines, Kingston'sSamWalker, hauled in Reid Patterson's pass from the 35-yard line, charged into the endzone, widening the lead to 14-6 at the 8:08 mark.

As the Wolverines advanced after the kickoff, a mishandled snap during a Holdenville punt from the 10-yard line created an opportunity for the Redskins, who seized it, forcing a panic punt at the 10, receiving the punt on the far 44-yard line. Despite an offensive effort from the Wolverines, the Redskins' defensive line stopped them in their tracks, forcing them to punt from the 12-yard line. After a slow start, Kingston persisted, gradually advancing up the field until the first quarter cametoanend,withthescore standing at 14-6 in favor of the Redskins.

As the second quarter commenced, the Redskins maintainedtheirmomentum from the 42-yard line, inching towards the 27-yard line. An attempted pass to Eli Oliger in the endzone proved incomplete, granting Holdenville an opportunity to reclaim the ball on their own 27-yard line. Despite Holdenville’s efforts, asetbackduetoamishandled snap led to a punt from the 37-yard line.

Capitalizing on the turnover, the Redskins pushed ahead, with a catch from Oliger, and a charge from Stevens securing another Kingston touchdown. With the extra point, the score widened to 21-6 at the 1:37 mark. However, Holdenville refusedtotakedefeat,mounting a push that culminated in theirsecondtouchdownofthe game, combined with a successful two-point conversion, bringing the score to 21-14 at the 00:32 mark, signaling the end of the first half with the Redskins in possession of the ball on the 42-yard line.

The third quarter began with the Wolverines kicking offtotheRedskins,whomade their way to the 37-yard line. With determination, Patterson plowed through the defense,landingatouchdown at the 10:38 mark, further solidifying the Redskins' lead at 27-14.

Holdenville rallied back, progressing to the 16-yard line before gaining another touchdown, narrowing the gap to 27-20 after a defensive play by Brayden Ellisor at the 3:51 mark stopped a two-point conversion.

With the aid of a penalized Holdenville kickoff, the Redskins secured their field position, progressing to the 37-yard line and then driving forward, culminating in a dash by Patterson into the endzone, widening the gap to 34-20 with just 37 seconds left on the quarter’s clock. The The Wolverines pushed forward but were halted at the 30-yard line as the third quarter drew to a close.

The fourth quarter kicked off with the Wolverines battling their way to the 30-yard line, hoping to bridge the point gap. With a tackle from Stevans, their touchdownbound run was halted at the five-yard line, but ultimately the Wolverine offense still resulted in a touchdown. With a successful two-point conversion, the scoreboard reflected 34-28 at the 7:51 mark.

Undeterred by the Wolverines, the Redskins began a drive from the far 20-yard line, progressing to the 30yard line before an interception by Holdenville attempted to shift the momentum, but they were stopped by a penalty that invalidated the interception. The Redskins movedforward,butweresoon forced to punt from the 44yard line, leaving the home team to start their own methodical offensive drive from the far 14-yard line.

In a tight finale, the clock ticked down to nine seconds as Holdenville attempted one last pass to the endzone, only tobethwartedby an interception by Hudson Everheart, sealing the Redskins' victory.

Ellisor said the win was the culmination of practice and being prepared.

“We came in better prepared, followed the game plan, and stayed tough,” Ellisor said.

Looking ahead, Kingston prepares to face off against Lexington at their home stadium on October 27, striving to maintain their winning streak.
